How to Start

Three quick steps: (1) purchase a package, (2) start from your package list, (3) customize the attempt in Start Exam. Demo packs are fixed. For a full exam simulator experience—timed mode, flags, navigation, and post-exam review—see /platform/exam-experience.

1) Select and Purchase a Question Package

You can choose a question package (or try a Demo). When you purchase a question package, analytic tools and exam customization are unlocked, while the Demo remains a quick sampler without these tools. Pricing cards show the current price and access duration. After checkout, the package is added to your Question Packages list automatically.

Certificates

Supported today: PMP, PMI-ACP, and ITIL® 4 Foundation. Review each certificate’s official outline and eligibility before you begin.

Question Packages (with demos)

Paid packs include the complete question bank, access analytics, and customization features. Demo packs help you preview the interface, but with other limited features and personalized settings.

Purchase a Package

At each package page, there are pricing cards with the current price and access duration. After checkout, your purchased package appears in your Question Packages list automatically. If you own multiple packages for the same certificate, you can pick one during customization—or leave ‘All packages’ selected to draw a mixed pool from everything you own.

2) Customize in Start Exam

The Start Exam panel lets you control how focused or realistic your practice session should be. You can simulate a full-length certification exam, create a quick targeted drill, or build a fully customized session based on specific domains and question pools.
  • Certificate: Choose the certification you want to practice for, such as PMP, PMI-ACP, or ITIL® 4 Foundation. This determines the question structure, scoring logic, domain distribution, and simulator behavior for that exam.
  • Question Package: Select one of your purchased question packages, such as PMP Essential or PMI-ACP Essential. If multiple paid packages are available for the same certification, you can choose “All Packages” to combine questions from every package into a broader and less repetitive exam experience.
  • Exam Type: Switch between Full Exam, short practice sessions, or fully customized attempts. Full Exam automatically applies the official-style structure for that certification, while shorter modes create faster sessions for focused daily practice. Customize Exam unlocks manual control over domains, timer length, and question count.
  • Domain / Knowledge Area: Target a specific knowledge area or practice with balanced coverage across all domains. Examples include PMP domains such as People, Process, and Business Environment; PMI-ACP areas such as Mindset, Leadership, Product, and Delivery; or ITIL® 4 concepts such as Guiding Principles and Practices.
  • Question Count: Adjust the size of the exam based on your preparation style. Use shorter sessions for rapid drills and weak-area review, or larger counts to build endurance and simulate real certification pressure.
  • Duration (minutes): Control the exam timer manually or use predefined modes that automatically match the selected session type. This helps you train for both time management and realistic pacing under exam conditions.
  • Exam Type: Choose how intensive or flexible the session should be. Full Exam applies the default full-length structure for the selected certification and is designed for realistic exam simulation. 20 Question Exam and 5 Question Exam are lightweight quick-start modes created for busy users, short daily practice sessions, weak-area checks, or situations where you want to practice without configuring multiple fields manually. Customize Exam unlocks direct control over domains, question count, and timer length for fully personalized sessions. These modes mainly prefill and synchronize the exam setup fields automatically for convenience—they do not use separate scoring engines or different backend exam logic.
  • Demo vs Premium Access: Demo packages provide fixed preview sessions designed to showcase the simulator experience and question style. Advanced customization options are available only when a paid package or All Packages mode is selected.
